Just here dreaming about my stay at @sofitelphilly Don’t you just love when you find gems so close to home. This hotel is in Philadelphia and about an hour and half away from home for me. I think a lot of us tend to think of vacation as getting on a plane and heading off across the world, but there are so many great places in your backyard for you to explore if you just look. I explored Philly in one day and I have to say I plan on heading back with the kids because I enjoyed that one day immensely . I’ll be talking about this hotel next week on the blog but for now I’ll go back to day dreaming of it.
After my last post I got a lot of messages and even questions about my son. Here is the thing, We are on a journey with Ayden. I don’t know where it’s going to take us, all I know is that I love him just the way he is . He is a loving little boy that God sent me and I will be there every step of the way through this journey with him. Right now Ayden doesn’t answer when you ask a question, he more so repeats what you say. He also covers his ears when he is scared, Orr whenever a plane passes/ even when we pass by water fountains. This is all so fresh for us but we will get through it. Thank you for all the love and trust we are exploring every avenue for him❤️❤️
"You have it all!" "You are Lucky!" "You are goals!" These are many phrases I hear today more often than I like to hear. I am far from goals, and I definitely don't have it all. The struggle in my life was and is still so very real. My story is more than these little squares you guys see every day. 1996-2000 These were my dreaming years. The years that a girl from Newark NJ would dream of traveling the world. The thought of going to Disney World was simply a dream. I found myself daydreaming of a life of no worries. My mother was told by many of my teachers that I was smart, but I daydreamed a lot, and they were not lying. I would dream of a day I could take care of my family and money was not an issue. 2004 was the year I graduated from college. It was the year that I felt so lost and had no idea where my life was going. Here I was proud of the fact I graduated in 4 years while maintaining two jobs but the reality that I had a bachelors degree and no job prospects lined up freaked me out. I had a decision to make; head to some small town to try to make it as a broadcaster or find a job willing to pay a college kid some money to learn a trade. For two years, I would find myself working as a pharmacy technician and waitress struggling to figure out what I wanted in life. 2008 After years of jobs that didn't satisfy my soul, I landed a job that fulfilled me. Here I was moving in with my boyfriend(now husband) my position allowed me to travel to the Pacific northwest helping cancer patients. I got a business card and car services picking me up; you couldn't tell me anything because I made it, lol. I had a purpose; I was making a difference in people's lives. I truly felt I found something I loved to do. (FYI, I still hold this position) 2012 I got married and realized that I wanted more. I was starting to feel like I needed an outlet, so my blog Ravenfashion was born. It was short-lived as I became pregnant with my daughter Annabelle. I, unfortunately, had hyperemesis gravidarum(here is where you google what this). My first six months of pregnancy, unfortunately, didn't allow me to blog, but I was able to build a community through Instagram... the rest👇🏽👇🏽
After a rough week , nothing a little road trip to @sofitelphilly to enjoy this beautiful weekend can’t fix. @geri__torres and I had breakfast at this cute restaurant Chez Colette in the hotel and couldn’t resist a little photo op. Head to my stories for more on our day
These two little ones have been sick with strep throat so I’m over reminiscing on happier moments like our trip to @kalahariresorts we have two weeks left of summer so hoping that we can make the best of it. Happy Friday guys, hope you enjoy your weekend❤️ #bestsummerkalahari
